PRAIRA DEL REY

FOZ DO ARELHO
Foz Do Arelho where the atlantic wave meets the calm waters of the lagoon. Foz de Arelho is a delightfully unspoilt village despite being the gateway to the stunning Lagoon and beaches beyond. Towards the beach there are several bars and seafood restaurants . The bars and restaurants all have amazing sea views and are very busy and popular with locals both day and night during the main tourist season..
THE LAGOON
The large sea lagoon of Obidos is famous for its gentle waters ideal for children, fishing, clam collecting and windsurfing and sailing . At its entrance is a very large beach, part lagoon, part sea with fine clear sands forming dunes leading to a long spectacular cliff coastlline with many miles of stunning beaches. .It is a great open space that provides many hours of enjoyment for the family. PENICHE
Peniche is a beautiful long beach widely recognized as the best and most consistent surf spot in Portugal, the peninsular of Peniche offers both north and south-facing coastlines. The result is the finest surfing conditions everyday regardless of the swell and wind direction.
The Peninsular of Peniche always offers you a beach where the wind is off shore, creating perfect waves. Along the 15 Km of coast line you can find more than 20 surf spots for all level of surfer, from beginner to advanced.
Peniche is a busy fishing town with a large harbor and some excellent seafood restaurants.

BALEAL
Baleal beach area is the surfing centre in Peniche district and where you'll find more surf spots within close range. This beach meets up with Peniche.
NAZARE
A stunning beach, typical fishermen houses and steep cliffs over a bright blue sea have made this fishing town become a popular holiday resort, mainly due to its traditional character.
Fishermen can still be seen wearing checkered shirts and black trousers, and their wives seven layers of petticoats: you can watch them mending nets or drying fish on the beach.
O Sítio (the Site), high on a cliff above the town which can be reached by a funicular that climbs 110 metres (120 yards), leads to the tiny sanctuary of the Ermida da Memória: according to legend, this was where the Virgin Mary saved a local nobleman, who was chasing a deer, and his horse from falling off the cliff, envolved in a sea mist, in 1182.

Sao Martinho do Porto 100Km north of Lisbon, this is a fine sandy beach in a nice bay where the sea is very calm and you you can enjoy the quietness. This bay is ideal for young children.
